Massachusetts Camping
Camping is a fun activity for a group of friends or a family vacation.
Note:Some campgrounds allow pets, some do not. Some are privately owned while others are state owned. Each campground is different and therefore offers different amenities. Most are family oriented.
At some Massachusetts campgrounds (not all), you can rent a cabin or trailer. Pitch a tent. Go fishing, canoeing, sailing and swimming. Participate in planned activities.
In the Greater Boston Area, find campgrounds in Bellingham and Foxborough. You can also camp in the Boston Harbor Islands National Park area.
In the North of Boston and Greater Merrimack Valley area, find a campground in Salibury, Littleton, West Gloucester, North Andover, Gloucester, West Townsend, Ashby, Amesbury and Westford.
South of Boston, camp at Middleboro, Mansfield, Plymouth, Westport, Taunton, South Carver, Hingham and East Wareham.
At Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, camp at North Truro, Eastham, Bass River, Bourne, Buzzards Bay, Dennis, East Falmouth, Provincetown, Sanwich, Eagertown, Wellfleet and Brewster.
In Central Massachusetts, go camping in Barre, West Brookfield, Webster, East Douglas, Phillipston, West Sutton, Templeton, Sturbridge, Oakham, North Rutland and Royalston.
In Western Massachusetts, camp at Gill, Monterey, Hancock, Pittsfield, Clarksburg, Clarelemont, Goshen, Granville, North Adams, Wales, Lee, Plainfield, Otis and Southwick.
